Terms of use
Last updated 11 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of companysight.co.uk (“CompanySight”) and, if you subscribe, to CompanySight Pro. By using the site you agree to them. Questions: corrections@example.com.
1. The data
Company information is derived from Companies House filings and contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We reproduce figures as filed and never estimate revenue or profit, but filings can be incomplete, late or wrong, and our extraction can make mistakes. Flags, scores and similar labels are automated opinions, not statements of fact about any company.
2. Not financial advice
CompanySight is an information service. Nothing on it is financial, investment, legal, tax or other professional advice, or a recommendation to deal with any company. Check primary sources and take professional advice before making decisions.
3. Accounts
You sign in with a third-party provider such as Google, or with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to those accounts secure. Pro is subscribed for an organisation; the organisation owner is responsible for its billing. You are responsible for activity under your account and your organisation’s API keys; revoke a key from your account page if it may have been exposed.
4. CompanySight Pro subscription
- Pro costs £49.99/month or £499/year, charged in advance via Stripe.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We will tell you in advance of any price change, which applies from your next renewal.
- You can cancel at any time from your account (“Manage billing”). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you keep Pro until then. We do not refund part-periods except where the law requires.
- Cooling-off: you have 14 days from first subscribing to cancel for a refund. Because Pro gives immediate access to digital content, you ask us to start the service straight away; if you cancel within the 14 days we may deduct an amount proportionate to the service already provided.
- If a payment fails we may suspend Pro features until payment succeeds.
5. Acceptable use
- Don’t try to bypass plan limits, rate limits or security, or share API keys outside your organisation.
- Don’t scrape the site in bulk; use CSV export or the API within the published limits.
- Don’t use the service to harass individuals or for unlawful purposes.
We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breaches, refunding any unused prepaid period where fair.
6. Re-use of exports
You may use exports and API results for your own business purposes. If you republish Companies House data you must include the OGL attribution. You may not resell CompanySight’s database or offer a competing service built from it.
7. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service available but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for business losses (such as lost profits or opportunities) and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms; material changes to a paid subscription will be notified in advance. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. See also our Privacy notice.
